District 11 Recap - May 16, 2018

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, POMA’s District 11 met at the Oak Hill Inn for a CME dinner. Angela Zawisza, DO, gave a lecture to the group on common pediatric infectious diseases.  This was followed by a presentation on the meningitis B vaccination.  After these presentations, the group had a discussion on pharmaceutical advertising to the general public and the appropriateness and inappropriateness of this. This was an enjoyable debate and we enjoyed the sharing of differing opinions.

District 11 is currently working on some non-educational social events to do as a district.  If you have any ideas, please feel free to contact the District 11 chair. In addition to social events, the district is also going to provide education within our district from our own physicians.  There was also preliminary talk about the Schuylkill County Education Day that will be held again in October and March, co-sponsored by POMA.
