Residents were encouraged to access information through the POMA website, in particular, information and application for POMAF scholarships and the MHTF Wellness Grant.

Dr. Battistella lead a discussion on POMA’s advocacy efforts, asking residents to become involved in contacting representatives and senators regarding issues that impact the osteopathic profession.

Educational opportunities throughout the state as well as district participation was highlighted. Dr. Ramsey reminded residents of licensure requirements and encouraged attendance at CME conferences early in cycle to make sure that required credits are obtained for licensure.

The residents were given the opportunity to ask questions and interact with each other. Nominations for representation to POMA and POFPS were opened. An email will be sent to the representatives in the upcoming weeks to fill those positions.

The next meeting of the POMA Professional Guidance Committee, West Region will be held December 6, 2018 at a location to be determined.
