DGD Series - Gout: New Data on an Old Disease hosted by Dist. 14
Monday, September 20, 2021, 7:00 AM EDT
Category: District Meetings

POMA Districts Go Digital brings you a lecture on Gout: New Data on an Old Disease presented by Linda Brecher, DO and hosted by POMA District 14. Recent studies have demonstrated that gout, a chronic inflammatory disease, is under recognized and undertreated. Without treatment, gout has been associated with erosive arthritis, chronic pain and functional disability. There are new (2020) guidelines that should be implemented for gout management. Dr. Brecher is an associate professor at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and division chief of rheumatology at Rowan Medicine. She has provided no disclosures.

POMA is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. POMA designates this live program for a maximum of 1 Category 1-A AOA CME credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity. The POMA Districts Go Digital Event – Gout: New Data on an Old Disease, has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education and the ACCME.
