POMA Districts Go Digital brings you a lecture on Outpatient C oding Updates: How to Get Paid for the Work You Do! presented by Kelle y Vandergrift, DO, CPC and hosted by POMA District 3. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services along with the AMA have devised completely new E/M documentation guidelines that went into effect January 1, 2021, nec essitating a change in practice for physicians so they are appropriately co mpensated for their services.
Dr. Vandergrift is a physician with Ca pital Health Primary Care in Newtown, Pennsylvania and is an assistant prof essor of clinical medicine at Rowan University School of Medicine. Board ce rtified in family medicine, she is also a certified professional coder. She has provided no disclosures.
