EDUCATION |
POMA strives to meet our members educations needs by providing multiple education opportunities to support the needs of the membership.
- AOA and ACCME Accreditation
POMA accredits AOA Category 1 credit required to maintain your state license, as well as AMA PRA Category 1 credit to support osteopathic physicians who are board certified by ABMS
- Provides State Required Education
POMA's education provides opportunities to earn the state required credits in opioid, child abuse, and patient safety education.
- POMA Annual Clinical Assembly
Offers up to 34 hours of 1-A AOA and AMA PRA Category 1 credits at significant discounts to members.
- POMA District VIII Winter Seminar
Offers up to 24 1-A AOA and AMA PRA Category 1 credits at discount to POMA Members.
- CME Tracker
Provide a CME tracker allowing members to see have repository of all their earned credits in one locations while also showing them their credits breakdown vs the Pennsylvania requirements.

INFLUENCE |
POMA invests a lot of its resources making sure physicians of osteopathic medicine have a strong voice in Harrisburg and throughout the Commonwealth.
- Advocacy
POMA has regular meetings with legislators and regulators to support and protect the osteopathic identity in the state of Pennsylvania.
- POMPAC
The political action committee of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and the political voice of the POMA.
- State Board of Osteopathic Medicine
POMA works closely with the state board of osteopathic medicine which regulates licensure for osteopathic physicians.
