The POMA Foundation is making a difference in the lives of DOs every day.  The POMA Foundation's vision is to promote the osteopathic tenets of mind, body and spirit for patient care and for the physicians who treat them.  Join us in supporting the osteopathic profession.

POMAF Activities

In 2023, the POMA Foundation:

  • Provided white coats and stethoscopes to 650 first-year osteopathic medical students in Pennsylvania;
  • Provided 806 educational scholarships for osteopathic medical students;
  • Awarded $15,500 to 31 residency programs to fund wellness activities and combat burnout;
  • Gifted 47 portable OMT tables to osteopathically recognized residency programs in Pennsylvania;
  • Awarded over $20,000 to 8 recipients of the Bright Ideas grant program; and is
  • Currently reviewing 13 applications for Community Enhancement grants, with requests reaching over $450,000.

Every contribution makes an impact in the osteopathic community.  The POMA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity and as such, donations are considered tax deductible.
