Joan M. Grzybowski, DO, Installed as 107th President of Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association

Joan M Grzybowski DOHarrisburg, PA, Friday, June 1, 2018 -- Joan M. Grzybowski, DO, FACOFP, a resident of Conshohocken, was recently installed as 107th president of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA), a statewide organization for physicians holding the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Dr. Grzybowski is board-certified in family medicine and employed by Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine as an Assistant Professor and practicing physician. Chair of the POMA Executive Committee and the POMA Foundation Board of Directors, she serves as a delegate to the POMA, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP).

Dr. Grzybowski is also a director on the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, a fellow of the ACOFP, and a past president of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society (POFPS).  She received the POFPS’ Frederick J. Solomon, D.O., Award of Merit in 1994 in recognition of her contribution to osteopathic education in Pennsylvania; the POFPS’ Raymond J. Saloom, D.O., Memorial Award in 2008 in recognition of her untiring efforts to promote and preserve the integrity of the osteopathic profession; and the Pennsylvania Diversity Council’s Diversity Award in 2016 for her help and insight into underserved populations.

A graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and a 1987 graduate of PCOM, she completed an internship and family practice residency at PCOM.

Dr. Grzybowski was installed as president during POMA’s 110th Annual Clinical Assembly, held May 2-5, 2018, at the Radisson Valley Forge and Valley Forge Event Center in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.  The assembly attracted over 1,400 physicians, residents, interns and medical students, plus family members.
