Mandated Reporter Training

The University of Pittsburgh's Child Welfare Resource Center has developed a free, 3-hour web-based training for mandated and permissive reporters and is approved in accordance with Act 126 of 2012 and Act 31 of 2014.

Upon course completion, your credits will be submitted to the Dept of State the next business day.  Processing time for your state board is 7-10 days.  You can monitor your license status by going to the PALS website and check under the section that says "Continued Education".

Pitt only sends credits to the Pennsylvania Dept of State.  If you would like these credits to be recorded in your POMA log, please enter them into your record or email them to [email protected] and the team will get them entered for you.

Opioids Training Modules

Drug overdose is a leading cause of preventable death in the US and overdose prevention is a CDC priority that impacts families and communities.

To assist clinicians in this effort, the CDC has developed several trainings to provide patient-centered care pertaining to pain management, opioid use disorder, substance use disorders and motivational interviewing.  The trainings are part of an interactive online series that feature recommendations from the CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain. Most of the trainings offer free continuing education.
