Leadership Programs for Young Physicians, Residents, and StudentsPOMA is committed to helping our osteopathic students, resident and young physicians as they transition to practice, develop life-long career skills, and grow their professional network. We currently host three leadership forums every year - January (Western PA), May (Eastern PA), August (Central PA).
2019 Resident and Student Leadership ProgramRegistration for the 2019 Spring Leadership Program is open and we've moved to a new day! This year we have devoted an entire day to Residents and Young Physicians during the POMA Clinical Assembly. On Thursday, May 2 residents from across the Commonwealth will present their own cutting-edge research during two sessions of scientific poster presentations. In between the poster sessions will be the 4th Annual Spring Leadership Program. Described as a program that discusses topics chosen by current residents that focus on things you need to know about life after residency that no one ever tells you. Divided into a morning and afternoon session with a networking luncheon break, the program features TED-style presentations with ample time for discussion and Q&A. See below for this year's agenda. Registration is free to all osteopathic medical students, interns, residents and fellows - register today! Attendees are responsible for the cost of their own transportation and lodging. Lunch is provided!
POMA's Scientific Poster Day will be held on Thursday, May 2. The morning presentation session will be held from 9:00 - 10:30 am and the afternoon presentation session will be held from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. Please contact Melanie LaPenta, PCOM GME Manager, at (215) 871-6694 or email [email protected], with any questions. All presenters are welcome to attend the Leadership Program - click here to register.
