PCOM Internal Medicine - Field Day- May 21, 2023 Fun in the sun. The PCOM Internal Medicine residents enjoyed a nice afternoon of games and competitions. The games helped....
.. strengthen their bonds as unit. Steven Blake, DO, District 1 chair joined in the fun. The group had various races, a cornhole games, and nice bbq lunch. 1. What was the general understanding of the purpose of the project/program by participants? Our plan was to gather to destress by playing interactive classic field day games together. 2. During the project/program, what tangible tools or strategies were demonstrated or taught (i.e., coping skills for wellness and life balance)? Some tools we demonstrated by our activities were creative problem solving, interpersonal communication, and minimizing perfectionism (not taking yourself too seriously). 3. What word(s) best describes how you feel when you are experiencing stress or well-being imbalance? Overwhelmed. Hopeless. Stuck. Depressed. 4. What suggestions do you have to increase the probability of success for the project/program for other institutions? 5. What do you intend to do, upon returning to work, that you learned and practiced during the activity, that will improve your response to stressful situations? We will continue to work as a team, acknowledging that we are all working towards similar goals. |
