POMA Districts Go Digital brings you a lecture on Outpatient Coding Updates: How to Get Paid for the Work You Do! presented by Kelley Vandergrift, DO, CPC and hosted by POMA District 3. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services along with the AMA have devised completely new E/M documentation guidelines that went into effect January 1, 2021, necessitating a change in practice for physicians so they are appropriately compensated for their services.

Dr. Vandergrift is a physician with Capital Health Primary Care in Newtown, Pennsylvania and is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Rowan University School of Medicine. Board certified in family medicine, she is also a certified professional coder. She has provided no disclosures.

POMA is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. POMA designates this live program for a maximum of 1 Category 1-A AOA CME credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity. The POMA Districts Go Digital Event – Outpatient Coding Updates: How to Get Paid for the Work You DO! has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education and the ACCME.
