District 12 Recap - February 2, 2019

POMA District 9 and 12 Members gathered at the Tavern at the Nemacolin Woodlands resort to socialize and get localized updates from their District Leadership. The meeting was held in conjunction with the DVIII Winter Seminar.

Dr. Lisa Witherite – Rieg, district chair, updated the group on their previous meeting. She also brought forth exciting news about a golfing event at the Pine Crest Country Club this summer to include a CME activity and meal. Her, along with other district members are organizing the event. More details to come.  


District 12 Recap - November 14, 2018

Understanding the impact of suicide and increasing awareness of mental wellness is vital to our roles as physicians. The Clarion County Suicide Prevention Task Force recently presented the documentary SUICIDE: THE RIPPLE EFFECT at the Clarion University Theater CU on Main. Members of POMA District 12, including district leadership, family medicine residents and osteopathic medical students training in the area, attended this presentation as a group. A discussion on wellness and awareness was held following the presentation.
